Play Festival Rehearsal Week 2024

About: The Australian Institute for Performing Arts (AIPA) is proud to offer passionate actors the opportunity to perform at the Ipswich One Act Play Festival in August.

In August 2024, the School at AIPA is taking a handpicked cast of young actors to Queensland to represent the school and NSW in the Ipswich One-Act Play Festival. The residential camp is an opportunity to table read, block the paly, rehearse it and get it ready for performance. The play will be directed by Kate Carlisle under the mentorship of Marg Haynes and a team of creatives.

Evenings at camp are spent getting the play ‘off-book’ and then chilling out with planned activities. 2024 will be full of laughs and challenging quests that students can enter (and perform in), or sit back and watch.

To Audition: All new applicants must apply, audition and be accepted by an AIPA staff member or one of their trusted partners.

In 2024, auditions will be held via self-tape. Tapes need to be received no later than 22nd June at 10.00pm.
